52 Ways to Take Care of Yourself in 2019

52 Ways to Take Care of Yourself in 2019

2019. Like most people, I sat there thinking about what sort of resolutions or goals that I wanted to set for the new year. There were the usual ones like ‘gain confidence in my body’, or ‘learn to do a backhand spring’, but the more and more I thought about it, the more the idea of a mission statement snuck in. Maybe it’s the years of business school seeping in, but I wanted a to create a mission statement, or mantra, or philosophy to repeat back to myself no matter what the situation may be…and this is what I came up with.

I want to lead a happy and balanced life full of growth while empowering those around me to do the same. This was inspired by the book I am currently reading, “The Courage to be Disliked” by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga, and I have so many thoughts and feelings on this that I am going to have to do an entirely separate post about it, but know, happiness is my goal.

Happiness. Balance. Growth. Empowerment.

With the new year, it’s so easy to let our resolutions fall by the wayside a few weeks in. So I created this list to help me stay focused each and every week. This is my 52 ways to take care of myself in 2019. Some things are purely for me, some things are for other people. The list was created to help me obtain and sustain my 2019 mission.
